This year's judge will be Farley Lewis from Springfield\, Missouri.  Farley is a nationally known artist and educator whose paintings convey his love for beauty. With over $2\,500 in prize money up for grabs\, be sure to save this date! \n\nPlein air painting is the practice of painting outdoors\, directly from life\, using the French phrase meaning "in the open air\," allowing artists to capture the fleeting effects of natural light\, atmosphere\, and color in landscapes and other scenes.
