The City of Batesville is seeking a Recreation Superintendent to lead and oversee our comprehensive recreation programs, youth and adult sports leagues, and special events. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to make a lasting impact in our Parks and Recreation Department!

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, promote, and evaluate recreation programs and special events.
• Supervise and support recreation staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee operations, budgeting, and marketing of the Batesville Community Center.
• Collaborate with external organizations to coordinate leagues, tournaments, and events.
• Manage department marketing, public relations, and social media presence.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial management.
• Research and apply for grants to support programs and facilities.
• Act as the Parks and Recreation Director in their absence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of three years of management experience in recreation, sports, or a related area.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in budgeting, event planning, and public relations.
• Proficiency in computer software and office equipment.
• Valid Arkansas Driver's License required.
