Description

A yearly celebration of the world's sweetest watermelons, the festival began in 1980. The event continues to grow and attract more visitors each year from all over the continental US and sometimes beyond. We estimate a total 3 day attendance of at least 15,000 visitors each year. The event itself wouldn't happen without the local partnerships and sponsorships provided by the local businesses in Sharp and Independence counties. The festival exists to further our local businesses and economy with the tourism attraction we have that can only be found in Cave City, Arkansas.
